We’re looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Manager to take ownership of multiple construction projects from planning through completion. The ideal candidate is a team player with strong communication skills, sound judgment, and a “get it done” mentality who can effectively coordinate with executive management, field staff, owners, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Work Includes:
Managing multiple construction projects from pre-construction through completion
Developing and implementing project control processes
Managing project budgets, including production rates, cost performance, anticipated profit, and budget variances
Developing project schedules and work orders with appropriate cost codes
Coordinating subcontracts, sublet requests, insurance requirements, and related documentation
Participating in pre-construction conferences and project kickoff activities
Preparing initial project correspondence, including start intentions, notices, and project contacts
Maintaining RFC logs and tracking requests, changes, and project documentation
Managing day-to-day project issues, correspondence, plan changes, and other project communications
Leading weekly job-site meetings covering safety, production, budget, schedule, and project issues
Participating in monthly owner/engineer meetings focused on schedule, processes, and project issues
Keeping project schedules current and communicating schedule changes to the appropriate stakeholders
Reviewing monthly invoices for approval and preparing monthly revenue projections
Coordinating and completing post-construction activities, including outstanding issues, correspondence, and plan changes
Completing project financial reviews and supporting overall project profitability
Working closely with executive management and field staff to drive production, schedule, safety, and budget performance
Promoting and supporting a proactive safety culture by leading by example
Building strong working relationships with owners, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams
Job requirements
Minimum 2 years of project management experience in the construction industry
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Industrial Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred
Knowledge of construction practices, project management, procurement, contract administration, insurance, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation
Ability to read and understand construction plans, blueprints, specifications, and contract documents
Experience with civil and/or marine construction is a plus
Strong mathematical aptitude and financial awareness
Excellent organizational, analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills
Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Comfortable using tablets and construction technology, including iPad
Experience with project management and scheduling software is a plus
Experience with HCSS Heavy Bid, HCSS Heavy Job, ProCore, PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or Trimble Earthworks is a plus
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines
Ability to travel locally to project sites as needed
Flexibility to work extended hours or days when project demands require it
Valid driver’s license
Valid TWIC card
Ability to pass applicable drug testing, physical, and pre-employment screenings
